Family holidays in the mountains

Kids also look forward to the mountains and active holidays; all children enjoy romping about in the fresh air of the Alps.

Toblach’s WaldWunderWelt, just a few minutes’ from the hotel on foot, is the ideal place to go for a day of play rich in experiences of nature, where children learn about topics related to the forest. Here children can climb trees, play hide-and-seek in a woodpecker tree or bird’s nest, slide down an otter slide, try out a barefoot path, and match their high-jumping skills with forest inhabitants; apart from all of the fun, valuable information on topics related to the forest is offered here as well as a geological station. It’s always worth a visit!

The playground at Griswaldile is no less exciting, offering an activity course, a swing, seesaw, gymnastic beam, slide, pond, zip line and a climbing wall to entertain the youngest guests in Hochpustertal valley. The playground can be reached after a pleasant walk from the outskirts of Toblach. After getting their fill at the playground, those keen on a longer walk can continue on a hike through the woods to Niederdorf, where at the petting farm rabbits, donkeys, chickens and many other cute little animals await your visit.

Bellevue’s garden

The ping pong table in Bellevue’s enchanting garden provides everyone in the family with a great opportunity to match their skills. You can borrow paddles and balls at the hotel reception desk.

Plenty of space to play

High rope course

For all those wishing to test their agility, the Adventure Park next to the Nordic Arena is just the right place to have fun. There the high rope park provides fun and excitement for the family, offering a total of 14 routes, 7 of which are suitable for kids. The Adventure Park is just a few minutes’ walk from Park Hotel Bellevue. And with water always being a great attraction for kids, after climbing about you might as well take an easy stroll to lake Toblacher See. There you can finish your adventure day by feeding the swans or taking out a paddle boat.

Fun for young and old

Summer toboggan run

Or maybe you would prefer a thrilling ride on the Haunold summer toboggan run? To make sure you get enough action even on that day, you can simply borrow a couple of bikes at one of the bicycle hire points near Park Hotel Bellevue and then cycle directly from the hotel to Haunold mountain. After your summer tobogganing run you can stop to play mini-golf at the base station before returning to Toblach.

Speeding down the mountain

Wildlife Park

Another site easily reached from the hotel on bike is the Toblach Wildpark (Wildlife Park), awaiting visitors in both summer and winter with a variety of animals, including stags, fallow deer, red deer, lynx, mouflon, wild boar, pheasant, owl, snow owl and raccoon.

Exciting wildlife

Cross country or downhill skiing and sledding

Winter is not only for adults, kids too get their fill of cross country or downhill skiing or sledding. Toblach’s Rienz ski area is especially recommended as a practice slope, suitable for beginners and also for freshening up after a break from skiing. You might meet up here with skiers from the national team as they often include practice on the upper section of the downhill course in their training programme.

Winter Kids

Ice skating

If your kids prefer a challenge on blades, a trip to the skating arena in the Toblach sport zone is the right choice. Surrounded by the white mountain obelisks, let your dear ones do figures and pirouettes as they glide along the glistening ice: they will be thrilled!

King and Queen of ice

Kids SPA

When romping about becomes tiring for the children, they too can be treated to a trifle luxury at Park Hotel Bellevue. After a light children’s massage with soothing natural herbs, they will be out running around again the next day – even farther, faster and higher with little problem. Or how about a dip in the warm water of Bellevue’s swimming pool, open all day from 7 am to 7:30 pm.

Relaxation for everyone
